Question: If free will is not a gift and You created us to be like You, what is it then about us (man and angels), in the way You created us, that we can break-away from You (fall from grace)?

Meaning: The concept of “free will” and having an independent mind is a fine line that leads us to believe that man and angels fell because we were given the gift to make our own choices. On the contrary, God does not want us to develop free will. Free will (asserting our own mind) is what causes us to sin.

In the previous section, God describes us as a living entity. So, the reason why it is possible for man and angels to fall from grace is not because we were given the gift of free will but a natural consequence of being a separate life form. We are like God but we are not God. We are a separate living entity. The true gift then is the gift of life.

As God said: “I am” is the gift of life. Having an independent mind comes with the package.

Reason is "the power of the mind to think, understand, and form judgments by a process of logic"⁸

Meaning: Our mind is aligned with God, thus we know right from wrong. Right is to go with this image wisdom from God, wrong is to go against it.
